Basic Die Layouts

There are three standard hole arrangements: staggered, diagonal, and straight line as shown below. Clicking on each image or the links above will bring you to several examples of that type of pattern.

The staggered pattern consists of successive lines offset 60º from each preceding line. The distances between horizontal and vertical holes is different.

The diagonal pattern consists of successive lines offset 45º from each preceding line. Unlike in a staggered pattern, the horizontal and vertical distances between holes is the same. 

A straight line pattern is both vertical and horizontal straight lines. The holes can be equidistant or variable.
